Some individuals do quite well during the summer months and even the fall months depending on where he or she lives by being a caddy. Although its not unusual, so individuals have no idea what a caddy even is.
A caddy is an individual who carries the golf clubs for someone who is playing a game of golf. Golf courses are quite large and although the golf games consist of nine or eighteen hole games; to have a caddy is rather useful.
Usually a caddy will give the individual playing golf the playing iron he or she needs or driver, wedge, or any other golf need. Sometimes the caddy even finds a golf ball that has gone astray.
A golf bag that is full of golf clubs can be a bit heavy after a while and therefore some individuals will actually hire a caddy to assist them as he or she plays golf. There’s absolutely nothing wrong with this, and in some ways it allows an individual to play a game of golf much faster.
In fact, many of the caddies that are employed in country clubs and several different golf courses are students or young adults. It is a great way for them to earn money during the summer months when they are not in college or other educational institutions.
Also, some country clubs actually provide a caddy when an individual is planning on playing a game of golf. The caddies are employed with the country club and get paid either by an hourly rate or other means. Many of the caddies can accept tips or generosities of the individuals they caddy for as well.
Many golf courses allow individuals to have a caddy of his or her own choosing too, although the caddy must be a certain age. And there are situations when an individual who is going to play a game of golf doesn’t use a caddy but carries the golf bag and clubs on his or her own.
When individuals who play golf are going to play in teams, there are times when one person will caddy for two people.
Although this is a bit harder on the youngster it is not impossible.
Amazingly, many of the students that caddy watch those playing golf and literally learn the game quite well. As a matter of fact, there are those golf experts that have become famous who started out literally as being a caddy on a golf course or through being employed with a country club. There aren’t really many high qualifications to be a caddy, although honesty is a must and the caddy should be able to withstand carrying golf clubs for quite some time.
